For architects, engineers, contractors, developers, specifiers and buyers, the Big 5 Show is the once-a-year opportunity to meet colleagues in the industry, to specify for ongoing and future projects, to update product information, to obtain representations or agencies.
The Middle East markets are perceived globally as one of the most buoyant for the building, contracting and construction sectors, and the development of a vibrant region-wide tourism and general infrastructure is seen as a key growth factor. The show was around 10% larger than last year due to strong regional participation.
The range of central air conditioners included the rooftop packaged type, ducted split, ceiling concealed type, cassette type, floor standing type and the wall type split air conditioner. The LG products received a fantastic response even though it has been a late entrant to this sector when compared to entrenched brands such as Carrier, York and Trane. Numerous enquiries and confirmed orders have been received for projects such as villas, public swimming pools and other real estate projects.
Visitors were most impressed with the demonstration of the "Telecontrol A/C's", that can be switched On and Off through a normal telephone and felt that this feature was important and very beneficial to the consumer.
LG also demonstrated the "Group Control" feature that can control multiple machines, for its ducted split and ceiling concealed air conditioners. This feature is not available in any other brand of air conditioner.
Over 500 leading consultants, contractors, developers and specifiers from the UAE, specially invited by LG Electronics, visited the LG booth to view and study the various models and features of the products. Detailed product catalogues, quick reference guides and explanations was provided on the whole range of products.
LG Electronics, Dubai has also expanded the distributor network throughout the UAE, one for Dubai & Northern Emirates and another for Abu Dhabi & Al Ain, each selected for its close involvement with the contracting sector in their individual areas.
LG Electronics, Dubai participation in the Big 5 Show is expected to establish it as a leading brand in the central air conditioner category and give a big flip to its sales in the region and help achieve its targeted sales.
